How to Remove Tattoo at Home

By John | Last Updated February 6, 2019

For those who are thinking about remove a tattoo at Home.

There are different methods available

1- laser technology.

2-Peeling.

3-Pulsed light.

4-Chemical peels.

5-Surgical removal of tattooed skin.

6-Salabrasion method(use water+salt)

Cautions
Its Cause High risk of scars.

1-Here we will discuss, One of the oldest methods is salabrasion. In this method, you use water, salt, and need something to rub your area with that mixture. Its same like rubbing your skin with sandpaper. Extremely painful process. This method promotes tattoo discoloration without completely eliminating it.

Anesthetize the body surface from which you wish to eliminate the tattoo with the salt-based paste. The doctor will inject you into the tattooed area with a local anesthetic. He can also use anesthetic creams

2- Create an abrasive paste with a mixture of sea salt and water. The dough should be thick and rough.

3 -Apply the salt-based paste on the tattoo. Rub or scrub the salt on the tattooed area with clean pieces of gauze. A few centuries ago, people used pieces of wood wrapped in gauze. Although this process may seem simple to do at home, it is recommended to have it done by a professional.

4-Observe the reaction of the skin to the abrasive action of the salt-based paste. Each person’s skin reacts differently. Some are more resistant, others may be sensitive to scars, infections or discolorations of the skin.

5-Repeat this process for several sessions because the removal of tattoos is rarely done at one time.
The results vary according to the skin, the size of the tattoo, its color, the type of ink used and the age of the tattoo. Care sessions are important because, during the salabrasion procedure, bleeding may occur.

Tips
Since this procedure is considered an aesthetic intervention, make sure your medical insurance agrees to cover its cost. Before making your decision to eliminate the tattoo with a salt-based paste, discuss each step of the treatment with a professional or Doctor.

Other more or less effective methods

– Salt water from the sea (Salt sea water makes tattoos pale).

Dipping his tattoo long in salt water by rubbing it with the sand of the sea, is a long and inefficient solution

– Salt

Also after local anesthesia rub food salt on the tattoo with a tampon until the skin becomes very red but be careful when stopping before it bleeds. After we rinse and put a bandage.

Without taking into account the pain, the results are not very convincing.

– Cryotherapy and cryosurgery

This involves removing the tattoo by cold using a liquid nitrogen spray.

Results are rarely effective

Remove the tattoo with chemicals

After mild dermabrasion of the tattooed skin, the acid or chemical region is dusted.

Then we rinse with saline before applying a compress of sodium hyposulfite.

Obviously painful, this practice does not win so much success.

Electrocautery and thermocautery

You can remove a tattoo, always under local anesthesia, using a surgical knife or thermocautery.

The skin will probably show visible scars, sometimes the tattoo will stand out but very pale.
